Mina Lorena Navarro Trujillo
Mina Lorena Navarro is a sociologist and Professor-researcher of the Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades (ICSyH) “Alfonso Vélez Pliego” of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP). Winner of the Jorge Alonso Chair Award for Best Thesis in Social Sciences 2013, CIESAS Universidad de Guadalajara. Member of the Working Group "Feminist Economics" and "Political Ecology in Latin America" of CLACSO. Coordinates the Seminar on "Political Ecology: extractivism, socio-environmental conflict and community struggles" at the ICSyH of the BUAP. Together with Dr. Raquel Gutiérrez and Dr. Lucia Linsalata, she coordinates the Permanent Research Seminar on "Entramados Comunitarios y Formas de lo Político" (Community Layings and Forms of Politics) at the ICSyH of the BUAP. Author of " Hacer común contra la fragmentación en la ciudad: experiencias de autonomía urbana " (ICSyH BUAP), " Luchas por lo común. Antagonismo social contra el despojo capitalista de los bienes naturales en México ", (ICSyH BUAP- bajo tierra ediciones, 2015) and compiler together with Daniele Fini of "Despojo capitalista y luchas comunitarias en defensa de la vida México: claves desde la Ecología Política " , (ICSyH BUAP, 2016) and with Claudia Composto of "Territorios en Disputa. Despojo capitalista, luchas en defensa de los bienes comunes naturales y alternativas emancipatorias en América Latina ", (bajo tierra, 2014). She is a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (National System of Researchers), level 1. She has published twenty articles on capitalist dispossession, socio-environmental conflict, common politics and socio-environmental struggles. She has participated in popular education processes and in the preparation of audiovisual materials with movements in defense of the territory.
