The last two projects that she coordinated were about Yazidis refugees who fled to Turkey to escape attacks by Islamic State (ISIL) and the violations of human rights due to the detention and removal from office of elected mayors and municipal councillors in the Kurdish territory of Turkey. Her current research focuses on both the political philosophy around the recognition of differentiated rights as a matter of social justice, and the study of worker cooperatives as a form of radical prefigurative politics. She has been a guest lecturer and speaker at numerous seminars on feminist theory and practice, research methodologies, migration studies, human rights and modern conflicts in the Middle East. Recently she was a visiting Postgraduate Research Student in the Philosophy Department at Queen’s University and in the Centre for Development Studies,  at the Bath University.
